From Kentucky to the Lowlands of Holland

Although their album was already released in May 1999, things really started out for My Morning Jacket when the album was 'discovered' (review in Dutch) in Holland. It was chosen number one late last year/early this year for a couple of weeks in the VPRO (TV & radio station) & OOR (magazine) alternative albumchart "Moordlijst", and they were invited to come over for a short tour. According to an interview with the band in a Dutch newspaper they had only done about a dozen shows before they came to Holland, mostly in or around their hometown Louisville, Kentucky.
